Description
For the longest time, I neglected opportunities I had for lightning photography. There came a point in 2020 when I thought, “No more. I am going to take advantage of every opportunity I get for shooting storms and lightning.”
Another thing that was a long time coming in 2020 was the new roof on our house. We got a metal roof.
Rooves are a great place to be for capturing photos of lightning. But they’re a bad place for avoiding being struck by lightning. And metal rooves are all the worse.
No photographers were harmed during the making of this photograph. But my wife shouted this photos title up to me while I was capturing it: “Get Off the Roof!!”
**About Print Materials**
Fine Art Photo Paper – This is what you normally think of when you think of a print. It’s printed on high quality photo paper and will look fantastic in your custom frame. I recommend using a frame with a matte.
Metal – If you don’t want to bother with a frame, this is a great print medium option! The photo is printed on aluminum, bleeds all the way to the edge of the material, and comes with wall mounting hardware already installed.
Acrylic – Similar to the metal prints, acrylic prints don’t need a frame. Instead of aluminum, though, these are printed on acrylic, which gives an interesting illusion of depth to the print.
Image Block – Another frameless option, image blocks are printed on 1 inch thick blocks with a wrap-around edge. This option also comes with wall hanging hardware pre-installed.
Canvas – Canvas is a classic way to display fine art prints. Images are printed on linen canvas, have wrap-around edges and include hanging hardware pre-installed.
